We are seeking a Senior Product Designer (m/f/x) to join our Product & Engineering department as we continuously expand our Data Platform, Data Network, and connected Data Products. As our first Product Designer, you will play a foundational role in identifying and optimizing key user journeys, defining a consistent design system, and educating our development teams on leveraging user research to validate and test designs.
The Role
In this position, you will be responsible for visualizing the vision of our unified data platform. You will work to simplify complex user experiences and improve the “time to value” for our users. This is a high-impact role where you will not only execute designs but also grow and mentor a future team of UX/UI designers.
Key Responsibilities
- User Experience: Identify opportunities to enhance and simplify key user journeys and technical workflows.
- Design Systems: Create and maintain a consistent design system for all products, ensuring its long-term implementation.
- Collaboration: Partner with Product Management to conduct user research and lead design sprints.
- Prototyping: Create and validate high-fidelity designs and prototypes to ensure seamless implementation by engineering teams.
- Evangelism: Educate development teams on design thinking and the importance of user-centric validation.
- Leadership: Grow and lead a team of UX/UI designers while driving initiatives that strengthen the department.
What You Bring
- Experience: 7+ years in product design, with a strong background in design thinking and running design sprints.
- Technical Proficiency: High mastery of Figma for creating high-fidelity designs and interactive prototypes.
- Domain Expertise: Ability to empathize with highly technical users and design for complex data products.
- Systems Thinking: Experience improving frameworks and introducing new patterns or standards adopted by broader teams.
- Communication: A clear communication style in English; German language skills are a plus.
