We are looking to recruit an Assistant Site Manager to join our growing team. Reporting to the Development Site Manager, you will work alongside the development team to ensure the site program is planned and effectively monitored on a daily basis. The Role
- Site Management: Support the Site Manager in managing all site resources, including labor, plant, and materials.
- Health & Safety: Maintain rigorous H&S standards through constant checking, taking immediate corrective action to prevent breaches of CALA guidelines.
- Sub-contractor Coordination: Provide clear direction and clarify expectations for sub-contractors to ensure seamless site delivery.
- Proactive Culture: Help foster an environment where operatives recognize and prevent risks before they arise.
- Customer Service: Take ownership of site issues promptly, recognizing the importance of excellent customer satisfaction and resolving service issues with care.
- Meeting Leadership: Lead trade site, project team, and site sales meetings to ensure all stakeholders stay informed of site changes.
About You
- Industry Experience: Essential experience in volume housebuilding to a 5-star quality standard. You must have a strong understanding of the construction process and experience working to NHBC standards.
- Leadership & People Management: Demonstrable techniques to motivate teams to meet strict targets and deadlines.
- Technical Skills: Computer literate with a confident ability to explain technical information and solve complex problems.
- Site Awareness: Ability to work at heights and a strong focus on cost control and identifying potential savings.
Requirements & Qualifications
Must hold valid:
- CITB – SMSTS (Must be the CITB version, not internal).
- First Aid at Work (FAW).
- Appropriate CSCS Card.
Ideally hold valid:
- Basic Scaffold Theory and Inspection (or CISRS Inspector).
- Site Environmental Management (CITB SEATS or IEMA).
- CITB – Temporary Works Co-ordinator (TWC).
